As the seasons change and days get shorter, the cyclist’s demand for hi-viz gear increases. Competitive Cyclist tasked their creative team to conduct a photoshoot and launch a campaign that would promote this category and give us seasonal marketing assets for the year to come.

The work began by talking with our crew of experts on what product to showoff, and the best local spots to do so. After a few rounds of ideation and sorting out logistics with relevant team members, we had developed a presentation deck that outlined our creative direction and plan of action.

The photos were vibrant, exciting, and communicated the utility and sleek design of our products. Graphics for a landing page, email run and social media push helped drive sales in a typically slow season for cycling gear. We continued to use the assets in seasonal promos throughout the next year.

With this campaign I was given a crash course in art direction and planning. I learned to leverage my surroundings by leaning on the expertise of my team, and by using local environments and talent in the project.
